Save the Date

Here is a quick update on my fall event schedule.
I am currently making plans to participate in the Local Color Studio Tour sponsored by the Lubbock Art Alliance. It will be held November 10 and 11, 2012 here in Lubbock, Texas. I will find out on Monday my "studio home" for the Tour.

I have been busy in the studio working on new designs incorporating some new materials. I can't wait for the great unveiling of the Fall Collection. But for the loyal, there will be a couple of opportunities for sneak peeks coming up at the end of August and mid-October. Stay tuned for location and date updates.

Meanwhile, here are a few more pictures of my adventures in the Big Apple. Apparently I was not interested in much other than food, shopping, and souvenirs.

Here is a piece of super awesome cheesecake from Junior's. As you can see, I could not wait to take a picture before I had a bite. Yum!

Of course, we had to stop at the Godiva Chocolate store for a sample... and a purchase.

Couldn't stop to buy the fresh flowers but I could take a picture to remember the moment.

NYC

I just got back from a whirlwind trip to NYC, Niagara Falls, and Toronto. As I have been going through my pictures, I realized I didn't take any iconic shots. The top picture is as close as I could come. Rockefeller Center during the summer.

I was all about the food. This is a shot of the tasty treats from the famous Magnolia Bakery. Yes, it was good enough that we went twice! Yum! Chocolate silk pie, chocolate cupcakes, and cookies!!

And what did I take a picture of while we were in Time Square? Yes, you have it. Street vendors and horses. Now I should have taken a picture of the Walgreen's. It became a favorite spot. We bought souvenirs and band-aides and other tourist supplies. Coming from the land of flat, it was interesting to take time to shop in familiar stores with unfamiliar two and three stories. Good use of the space!
