Filling in the Schedule

So I have been looking at the calendar and filling in all the squares with the activities of fall.  Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale is always a must. When I worked retail, it was on my requested day off list. Now that I am my own boss and maker of my own schedule again, Book Sale is in ink. October 26-29, 2012, Lubbock, TX.

I was also able to ink in Grape Day at Llano Estacado Winery. It is another annual event I have always gone to as observer and imbiber. But this year, I will be a vendor. It is confirmed I will have an 8" space to display the wares. I have been working on some grape themed earrings in commemoration of this event. I love this event because if you are not a wine drinker, it is a chance to sample all the different varieties the Winery makes. Then you can decide for yourself what you like and don't like. There will also be some food vendors and live music.

I am going to leave you with a sneak peek. The top pic is of hammered brass and carnelian earrings. The bottom is of a copper necklace on leather. This is a rare sighting of my copper work. I hope you feel privileged to see it.

Multiplicity Gallery

Oh, my! I have been very remiss in updating my blog. So sorry, blog readers! But I have been busy on the business end of art once again.

Exciting news!
I am now displaying at Multiplicity Gallery in Slaton, Texas. I had a great showing at the Fifth Friday in Slaton event on August 31, 2012. Multiplicity is the new gallery three doors down from the Slaton Bakery on the Square. Carol Koenig is the owner, operator, artist. Thanks Carol for creating an artist friendly gallery space and inviting me to be a part of it.

Here is just a teaser.

You have to go to the gallery to see the good stuff in person. I completed a necklace, earring, and pin set with dolphins. There are several pairs of embossed brass earrings. And a whole slew of whimsical earrings created with all different materials...paper, metal, stones from my trip to NYC...

Check out the Multiplicity website for events and class information.
