I'll Have a Puppy Cone, Please!

So it's not quite time for the dog days of summer, right now it's more like the survival of spring. Between dust storms and cold fronts you never know what you will face when you leave the house here in West Texas. Looking at tomorrow's forecast of 90, it made me think of Sheridans Frozen Custard. That becomes a weekly necessity during the summer. Even Zoey enjoys her own puppy cone.

Spring has Sprung

So the time has come to pack up the car for another show. I have been working in starts and stops hunched over my desk piecing together some new creations.

I have also cleared some space in my studio and discovered a metals work bench just waiting to be cleaned and filled with tools. In the process, copper was unearthed and hammered within a inch of its old life to start a new life as some awesome pendants. They will be making their first appearance this Friday.

Recovery and Plans

The advertising for art shows never ends.

The past weekend was FFAT. I had a blast. The pictures are of new stuff that was displayed for the first time. I was really happy with what I got produced in time for this event. We had really good traffic through the Clay Studio. I still have not unloaded the car, but my mind has already moved on to the next event.

This coming weekend is DownTown Art Market. But it is also the Moonlight Madness Sale Friday night. The Lubbock Arts Alliance is also hosting this years Local Color Artist Studio Tour Saturday and Sunday. I will be participating in the DAM on Saturday. Kathryn will be joining me this weekend. Unique Knits is still undecided. But the weather will be chilly on Saturday...hint, hint.
